Privacy & medical data information

Information about contacting Dr Stavy’s practice, paper and electronic records, retention and your information rights.

Who is responsible for your information?

The data controller is Dr Stavroula Nikitopoulou (Dr Stavy). Send privacy questions and requests by email to info@drstavy.com. The correspondence address is 85 Great Portland Street, First Floor, London W1W 7LT.

What information is requested in an enquiry?

You can contact the practice by email at info@drstavy.com. For an initial appointment enquiry, include your name, a way to contact you and your preferred appointment arrangements. Please keep medical information to what is needed for the enquiry.

Enquiry information is used to respond to your message and arrange the requested appointment or practice contact. Sending an enquiry does not confirm an appointment.

How is medical information handled?

The practice keeps records in both paper and electronic form. An initial appointment enquiry should contain only the information needed to make contact and arrange the next step.

Which service providers receive information?

The practice uses Google Workspace for email, including messages sent to info@drstavy.com. For questions about service providers involved in handling a particular record, contact Dr Stavy using this address.

How long is information kept?

The practice’s retention policy is to keep all records, in both paper and electronic form, for 10 years from the patient’s last consultation or contact. This stated period does not override an applicable legal requirement for a different retention period.

What cookies and external services are used?

This website loads its heading and body fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those font resources from Google. Contact the practice if you have questions about cookies or external services used by the website.

How can I raise a privacy concern?

Send privacy questions, concerns and requests about your information by email to info@drstavy.com. You can ask to access your personal information and correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete. Depending on the circumstances, you may also have rights to deletion, restriction of use and transfer of your information. These rights are subject to the applicable legal conditions and exceptions.

Your right to object: You may object to certain uses of your personal information. Whether this requires the practice to stop using the information depends on the purpose and lawful basis. Read more about your information rights.

You also have the right to raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Visit the ICO’s complaints page for the available routes.
